Graduate Studies in Psychology
Our Master of Science Program in Clinical Psychology at Acadia University adheres to the Boulder Scientist-Practitioner model of clinical training with emphasis placed on the integration of science and practice. Our program offers students high-quality training in psychological research and clinical practice through extensive practica in Clinical Psychology and thesis-based research. Students are trained by practicing PhD level Clinical Psychologists to use evidence-based interventions to assist individuals experiencing mental health concerns or cognitive difficulties. The objective of this program is to prepare students for an exciting and rewarding profession as Master’s level Psychologists in Nova Scotia or for further study in clinical psychology. Most of our students enter a doctoral-level program or find employment as psychologists in the public or private sector.
