Bachelor of Science in Psychology

In addition to the Psychology Core, students completing a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in psychology must complete the Science Core and a minor:

  • 6 credits in English, Art (1000 level), Classics, Religion, a language other than English, History, Philosophy, Music, Theology, or Women and Gender Studies (please see the calendar for some restrictions on these courses)
  • 6 additional credits from the Faculty of Arts (please see the calendar for some restrictions on these courses)
  • 6 additional credits from the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Professional Studies or 3 credits from each (please see the calendar for some restrictions on these courses)
  • 6 credits in Math and Stats. (Note: this is normally satisfied by the statistics requirement)

Minors for BSc students

All incoming BSc students to Acadia will complete an 18-credit minor in another subject. BSc students who started their degree prior to the 2022-2023 academic year are required to complete a minor that ranges from 12 to 24 credits.
