Neuroscience Option

BSc students majoring in psychology have the option of specializing in Neuroscience. Neuroscientists study the brain basis of human behaviour at a range of levels, from the activity of single neurons to the brain systems that orchestrate complex psychological processes such as perception and language. The neuroscience option is a program that allows science students to take a collection of specialized courses related to the field of neuroscience. A specialization in neuroscience provides a strong foundation for postgraduate studies in experimental and neuroscience research, medicine, nursing, physical and occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and audiology. Please see the university academic calendar for the list of courses required as part of the neuroscience option.
